Rev. Taylor Loy, associate pastor of Benton First United Methodist Church, leads a weekly, semester-based Bible Study. The study the Fall of 2019 is an in-depth study of the book of Genesis.
Rev. Taylor Loy earned his Master of Divinity at Duke Divinity School and has taught advanced classes in theology and spirituality practices in many churches.
This class focuses on the covenantal relationship between God and creation. The class will feature frequent overviews of Scripture that help tie passages throughout the entire canon, as well as deep dives into specific words in the ancient languages. Why this matters will always be a focus of the lesson as well as a serious and detailed view of the text itself.
Rev. Ben Crismon - who prefers being referred to as "Brother Ben" - is the Senior pastor of Benton First United Methodist Church. The study for the Fall of 2019 is a beginner's course in the Bible, Christian theology, and practical Christian living. For those who have never read the Bible or have not taken Bible Studies before, this is a great opportunity!
